Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is composed of volunteer dentists. This committee is focused on recruitment and retention of members, monitoring membership trends; and developing programs and resources to help engage members in the Society.

Committee Areas of Focus
Each year, the Committee charge(s) is defined by the MDS President and Board of Trustees. The corresponding charges for the current governance year are:
- Manage 10 Under Ten program
- Monitor membership trends through member feedback, particularly among under-represented segments, DSOs, and new graduates (less than 3 years out of school), and implement initiatives to increase membership and improve member value of these segments.
- Create a process to measure member engagement
- Cultivate a leadership development pipeline
- Develop quarterly member engagement programs

10 Under Ten
Past recipients of the 10 Under Ten awards have made a significant contribution to the profession, their community, and/or organized dentistry. Recipients are selected by the MDS Membership Committee and nominations open each fall.
