Business Development Committee

The MDS Business Development Committee is charged with vetting companies for a product or service that would be too expensive for an individual member to evaluate as to safety, legality, quality, etc., or a product that offers a benefit to a member that they could not obtain as an individual.

Committee Areas of Focus

Each year, the Committee charge(s) is defined by the MDS President and Board of Trustees. The corresponding charges for the current governance year are as follows:

  • Develop non-dues and non-Yankee revenues streams to increase revenue by $500,000 in three years
    • Increase Member Savings Program revenue by 20%
  • Evaluate existing and research new Member Savings Partners and provide recommendation for new partners.
