Hitesh Vij, DMD, Guest Board Member

Hitesh Vij, DDS, Massachusetts Dental Society Guest Board Member. Growing up in India, Dr. Vij observed how a good set of teeth or dentures positively affected the health and lifestyle of his grandparents. That’s what motivated him to pursue a career in dentistry. As a senior in high school making his decision to pursue dentistry, he never could have imagined how diverse and how deep the horizons of his career would be.

After graduating from the esteemed Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India, Dr. Vij completed a residency in oral pathology. Then, upon moving to the United States, he attended the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2020. Dr. Vij became involved with the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) when he started practicing in the area. “I felt that the MDS was a great place to be involved with organized dentistry and an important platform to connect with other dentists while learning from and hearing their perspectives,” he shared.

When not at his general dentistry practice in Georgetown, MA or New Hampshire, you’ll find Dr. Vij spending time with his wife and son. He has a passion for cricket and would love to switch places one day with legendary Indian cricket batter Sachin Tendulkar. He shared, “Sachin’s ability to lead by example, be it his work ethic, sportsmanship, or dedication to improvement, sets an exemplary standard for his teammates.”
