The MDS is happy to provide members with practice resources, as well as limited quantities of oral health education brochures and oral hygiene tools at no cost. Oral health tools and brochures are intended for use at health fairs, classroom demonstrations, charitable programs, free care days and other community events. Please note that three of these resources (The Mouths of Babes, Oral Health is Overall Health, and The Dental FLOSSophy) may be customized with your practice’s contact information and logo at a discounted rate.

A Guide to Identifying Abuse and Neglect for the Dental Team
This comprehensive brochure provides information regarding the dentist’s obligation as a mandated reporter to report abuse and neglect. It defines important terms; outlines the steps to take when reporting the abuse of children, the elderly, and/or the developmentally and physically challenged; and offers guidelines for assessing and interviewing a patient who a dentist suspects is experiencing abuse.

The Mouths of Babes brochure educates new parents on early oral health care for newborns and toddlers. The brochure discusses brushing and flossing, first dental visits, baby bottle tooth decay, teething, thumbsucking, and pacifier use. 

Children's Activity Book
This activity book for kids is filled with puzzles, word activities, and games all about oral health and making healthy choices. It is a great piece to distribute at school presentations, free care days, and Give Kids a Smile events.
