MWRA Clarification

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) recently sent a letter to all industry wastewater permittees—including dental offices that are D1 policy holders—referencing an amendment that now has a requirement for submittals to be emailed in addition to post mailed. (D1 permits are required for all dental offices with amalgam waste.) The MDS has been informed that there is no action that D1 dental permit holders need to take with this amendment now unless the office is selling or transferring ownership. The next compliance report is due April 30, 2022.
