A Massachusetts dentist may advertise as a specialist only if they:
- Have completed a specialty program approved by the American Dental Association’s (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada.
- Limit their practice only to the specialty area(s) being advertised, listed, or published.
- Are a diplomate or eligible for examination by an ADA-recognized national specialty board.
