The Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society has enjoyed an enviable lifespan as a constituent (state) published, peer-reviewed, and respected printed scientific publication. Humbly, we feel it is one of the most outstanding benefits of membership.
Times have changed, and to best serve our community, we must change with them. In this digital age, our readership is growing more ecologically conscious. To do our part to reduce the environmental impact of printing, shipping, and even recycling, we are proudly transitioning to a fully digital Journal experience. Beginning with the fall 2026 issue, we will be completely digital, allowing us to build a more sustainable, responsive, and dynamic publication.
Every member, at every level of membership, will receive an email link to read the most current issue of the Journal. Moreover, this link will take you to the searchable library of past issues, dating back to 2021.
The digital Journal will appear identical to the print version, right down to page turning. Also, some papers may be updated from time to time. If an article is of particular interest to you, you may download it to your personal digital files or print it and file it conventionally.
In the meantime, please familiarize yourself with how to read, research, and navigate the digital Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society by visiting the Journal page on our website. Note, since this is a member-only benefit, you must be logged into your MDS account in order to access the past and present publications.
Thank you for moving forward with us to more efficient communications and a cleaner environment.
