MDS Foundation Provides Free Dental Care to Hundreds at Mission of Mercy Clinic in Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass. – December 10, 2025 – The Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) Foundation, the charitable arm of the Massachusetts Dental Society, successfully treated more than 220 patients at the Massachusetts Mission of Mercy (MOM) No-Cost Dental Clinic. The one-day clinic, hosted at the DCU Center in Worcester on November 15, provided free dental care to adults who are uninsured, underinsured, or otherwise unable to access dental care.

More than 300 volunteers, including dentists, hygienists, assistants, and community members, came together to deliver a range of services, including extractions, fillings, root canals, X-rays, fluoride varnish applications, and oral health education.

“Oral health is inseparable from overall health, and the Massachusetts Dental Society is proud to champion the well-being of residents across the Commonwealth,” said Dr. Janis Moriarty, Chair of the MDS Foundation. “Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and supporters, this year’s Mission of Mercy event provided essential, high-quality dental care to hundreds of Massachusetts residents.”

The Mission of Mercy No-Cost Dental Clinic helps bridge the gap for individuals who may not have access to regular dental care and aims to raise awareness of the importance of preventive oral health services.
