What is an Ambassador

Ambassadors are volunteer champions who help strengthen the community by raising awareness, engaging members, and sharing the value of membership. This new program is designed for members who are passionate about organized dentistry and interested in taking a more active role within MDS.

As an ambassador, you’ll help foster member engagement, promote district and state events, welcome and connect with new members, and share your experiences to showcase the value of membership. It’s a meaningful opportunity to expand your professional network, develop your leadership skills, strengthen your leadership voice, and play a visible role in a community you care about. This is a new way to get involved and make a difference.

  • Offer ideas and feedback to strengthen member engagement and ambassador efforts.
  • Deadline for applying is June 24, 2026
  • A one-year term running during the governance year, July 1-June 30
  • Most engagement will occur between September and June
  • One to two ambassadors per MDS region (6 regions)
  • Applications will be reviewed by the Ambassador Selection Committee, made up of MDS staff
