Coming in 2013:

  • Friday, April 26, 2013: "Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning: Diagnostically Driven." Speaker: Dr. John Kois. All-day event: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 7 CEUs. Location: TBA. Register Now

Dr. Kois received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and Certificate in Periodontal Prosthodontics with an MSD from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Tacoma and Seattle and is an affiliate professor in the Graduate Restorative Program at the University of Washington. Dr. Kois continues to lecture nationally and internationally, is a reviewer for many journals and is the editor in chief for The Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. In addition, he continues to work with restorative dentists at the Kois Center, a didactic and clinical teaching program.

The fundamental rationale for a comprehensive treatment approach is a long-term strategy for dental health commensurate with an enhanced level of wellness for our patients. Understanding parameters of disease expression is sometimes confused with parameters of patient adaptation. Formulating the appropriate treatment plan and sequence then becomes a unique challenge. This process can be simplified if we provide a diagnostically driven approach based on risk assessment, rather than merely a menu of treatment options.

From this lecture participants will learn:

1.A systematic approach for treatment planning every patient in their practice.
2.To focus on the four most important diagnostic categories.
3.To develop critical risk parameters to minimize failures and maximize successful results.
4.Protocols to implement treatment planning strategies.
