Council and Committee Volunteer Form

Organization and Chair Appointment

Each Council is composed of one member from each District Dental Society, and Committees are comprised of members who are appointed by the President in consultation with the Committee Chair. The President appoints a Chair of each Council and Committee, with all appointments subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees and election by the House of Delegates.

Term and Time Commitment

Council and Committee positions are usually a one-year term, which may be renewed each year. Councils and Committees typically hold between two and five meetings per year either at the MDS headquarters in Southborough or online through Webex. Committee and Council members pay their own travel expenses to attend meetings. The MDS does not offer paid compensation to Board, Committee, or Council members.
