Educational Stipends 

The Massachusetts Dental Society and our Dental Practice Committee would like to thank those who have supported our stipend and scholarship opportunities through the years.  At this time we will not be issuing stipends or scholarships for our 2015-2016 Fiscal year.

Dentist : The future looks bright for dentistry and the nation’s oral health in the 21st century. There are five dental schools in New England. Three are located in Boston. 

Dental Hygienist : Dental hygiene offers women and men of all ages, races, and ethnic backgrounds exceptional career opportunities. If you are interested in helping to prevent disease while assisting patients to maintain their oral health, a career as a dental hygienist may be for you.

Dental Assistant: If you have strong communication skills, enjoy working with your hands as well as your mind, and want a career with responsibility, dental assisting is for you.

Laboratory Technician: The hallmarks of the qualified dental laboratory technician are skill in using small hand instruments, accuracy, artistic ability, and attention to minute detail.
