Miles and Smiles—Join our Team
 The Standing Committee on Women in Dentistry invites all Massachusetts Dental Society colleagues, friends, and family to join us in the Jimmy Fund Walk on Sunday, September 9, 2012. Cancer doesn't discriminate. It can strike anyone and it affects us all—man, woman, and child. Every day, 3,000 Americans are diagnosed with the disease.
Let's come together as dental professionals to help put an end this deadly disease. Walk in honor or in memory of whomever you wish. Minimum fundraising contribution is $300 per person.

Women Dentists Smile in "Style"
The MDS Standing Committee on Women in Dentistry hosted a "Styles and Smiles" networking event at The Castle at Boston University on Sunday, September 25, 2011. Eighty-five women dentists from throughout the stated turned out for the event, which included a a fashion show featuring women dentists modeling trendy clothing and tailored women's dental wear.

Primary Responsibilities
The Standing Committee on Women in Dentistry is comprised of volunteer dentists whose responsibility it is to:

- Encourage women dentists to belong to the Massachusetts Dental Society, and take on leadership roles at district and state levels within the Society and organized dentistry.
- Host networking events for women dentists at the district and state level.
- Implemented the Guest Board Member program. Upon request, the Task Force makes recommendations regarding nominees.
- Implementing a mentoring program for all dentists in cooperation with the Board of Registration in Dentistry (BORID).
