Primary Responsibilities
The Budget & Fiscal Planning Committee is composed of the following volunteer dentists: the MDS Treasurer (Chair), President Elect, Vice President, Assistant Treasurer, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, and two other members appointed annually by the President. The primary responsibilities of the committee are to:
- Prepare for the Board of Trustees the annual budget of the Society.
- Investigate and recommend to the Board of Trustees an investment policy or changes in such policy when indicated to effect the financial growth of the Society.
- Establish an investment policy for the employee pension plan in consultation with the Executive Director, and to recommend changes in such plan when indicated to effect the financial growth of this plan to benefit the employees.
- Establish an Investment Subcommittee on retirement planning and investment trusts to assist the Budget and Fiscal Planning Committee in developing recommendations to the Board of Trustees on behalf of the membership.
