Support TeamSmile at Yankee Dental Congress 2016 


TeamSmile and the MDS Foundation are teaming up to host a dental clinic on January 28 and 29, 2016, at Yankee Dental Congress 2016. The TeamSmile Clinic will offer free dental services including triage, X-ray, treatment, preventive care, and oral health education to underserved Boston-area children.

We are looking for Massachusetts licensed dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants to volunteer to provide care to this disadvantaged population. Bring your office team or volunteer as an individual. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work in one or more 2.5-hour shifts. The available shifts are outlined below.

All registered volunteers will receive FREE Yankee Dental Congress registration (up to a $95 value). Volunteers who register after September 16, 2015, will be provided with a promo code when registering online for Yankee 2016.

   Available Shifts:

 Thursday, January 28 & Friday, January 29 at:   


  •     8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.  
  •      11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.   o
  •      2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.   



All volunteer dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants MUST email copies of three documents to in order to participate in the TeamSmile Clinic. 

  1. Dentist, dental hygienist, or dental assistant Massachusetts license
  2. Proof of current CPR certification
  3.    Proof of current Hepatitis B vaccination or a Hepatitis B declination form 


Volunteers who do not provide this documentation will not be permitted to treat patients at the clinic per the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Dentistry. If you have any questions, please email MDS Community Service Coordinator Elizabeth Nilson at

Leadership Institute Wine Tasting & Food Pairing to Raise Awareness of the MDS Ambassador Program.
Proceeds Supported the MDS Foundation

On Friday November 13, 2015, The Leadership Institute spearheaded a Fundraiser to support the MDS Foundation at Gordon's Fine Wines & Liquor's Culinary Center.  $1200 was raised among 24 attendees.  Attendees sampled gourmet food and wine pairings well learning about the Foundations initiatives and the new Ambassador Grant Programs, designed to help MDS members give back to the community.
