2013 Expanding Access to Dental Care Grant Recipients

Massachusetts Dental Society Foundation Awards Grants to Oral Health Programs

The Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) Foundation recently awarded its fourth annual round of "Expanding Access to Dental Care" grants, totaling $48,238 to two organizations in Massachusetts. The goal of the grants is to improve the oral health of residents of the Commonwealth.




2013 Grant Recipients

The MDS Foundation Grant Program focuses on the Foundation's primary goals of improving the oral health of all of the citizens of Massachusetts, and increasing access to care for underserved populations in the state. The following organizations and programs received grants in 2013:

  • Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston received a grant for $20,398.00 to support the integration of oral and medical care for patients and establish a dental home

  • Boston Health Care for the Homeless,  in Boston received $27,840 to purchase digital X-ray equipment.
