The MDS is committed to improving access to oral care for residents of Massachusetts. As a dental professional, you can help achieve this goal.

Become a MassHealth Provider

The MassHealth Dental Program has made a number of changes, including hiring Doral Dental as third-party administrator, allowing you to limit the number of MassHealth patients in your practice, and giving you the ability to be an "unpublicized" provider. The MDS is urging you to give underserved children a dental home.

Sign up for MassDentists CARE

The MDS's MassDentists CARE (Combining Access with Reduced Expense) program provides reduced-cost dental care to children through the age of 18 who do not have either MassHealth or private insurance. Applicants are approved by the MDS, and providers make the decision regarding how many patients to accept into their practice.

Volunteer for the MAC Van

The MDs Foundation Mobile Access to Care (MAC) Van travels throughout Massachusetts providing free dental care to underserved children. Services are provided at organizations that serve children from low-income families, such as Boys & Girls Clubs, Head Start locations, YMCAs, and selected schools. Make a difference in your community today!
